PR Agency (from my study tour in Singapore)
Here, I want to share my interests to you. I like sports such as running and playing badminton. However, I love watching sports more, especially volleyball and short-track speed skating. I studied the history and background of them, I follow a plenty of sports media accounts in social platform, and I always watch live or even on-stage international competitions. I hope I can communicate with my favorite athletes one day. If you have interests in sports, let’s be “full of air” together.

Do you know what is the real life of a social content creator? A professional social content creator has no exact working time-slot since he/she is working at every second. He/she needs to check the phone/website and see whether there are some latest cases which can be turned to news. He/she has to keep himself/herself updating. Furthermore, he/she needs to read comments on social media and reply to them as many as possible. Rather than CLS, a social content creator concerns more about what impressing content he/she can create to the public. Moreover, presenting the news/content in a daily and lively way is more significant. Thus, a social content creator should be imaginative. Please click here to get an insight of how to get work as a content creator.
I hope you would understand more about content creation and social media platform. If you are interested in these aspects, please feel free to share your ideas with me! 🙂

Hello my fans, I am back! These days, everyone is fighting with the Coronavirus and thus, including I, would choose to stay at home. So what would you suggest doing? For me, I have an exciting idea to share.
Do you love sports? I understand it is difficult to do outdoor sports with friends now, so watching sports competitions is an amazing alternative. Let me introduce my favorite sports – short track speed skating and volleyball.
Short track speed skating is not a kind of popular sports, so you may click to watch a video and gain an insight first.
After watching the video, how do you feel? Stimulated or excited? Do you feel like “flying on the ice”? I have been totally attracted and addicted to this sport since I first watched it in 2018 Olympics. It is a highly speedy and dangerous sport. It is different from running as skaters’ positions and rankings will be rapidly changed within 0.001 second! I cannot stop my eyes from focusing on every skater without blinking.
If you have an interest in short track speed skating, you cannot have no idea of the Liu brothers. They are Hungary national skaters and they are of Hungry-China ancestry. They are charming and have lots of brilliant achievements!
Volleyball should be a well-known sport. However, do you know volleyball can also be played in a funny and skillful way? Please click and watch the 2018 VNL promotional video.
In the video, you can see some famous superstars such as Natalia, Kelsey Robinson, Milena Rasic and especially Zhu Ting. Zhu Ting is a Chinese national player and she won the Best Spiker in 2016 Olympics. She is so-called the “MVP harvester”, or you may call her the Queen of volleyball.
“Sports sponsorship is booming, never before has more money been put into marketing with athletes, sports teams, or sports events.” (Thieriner, 2018) Trend in the sports business is emerging nowadays. “More and more sports brands are willing to spend money to address consumers. Influencer Marketing is becoming more professional.” This is because sports offer something extremely valuable to human – real emotions. We love sports since they not only improve our physical fitness, but also our mental health as well as social interactions. For me, my motto comes from a sports player – “although there is only 1% chance, I will pay 100% efforts.”
As a result, PR campaign is a common way for promoting sports competitions. For example, in 2018, Hong Kong Volleyball Association organized a PR event in the Olympian City before the annual Volleyball Nations League (VNL). The event invited one of the 2016 Olympics Women Volleyball players – Xu Yunli to be the guest. This event attracted a lot of people to understand more about volleyball, and helped promote the VNL to the public. Certainly, I was motivated and became one of the audiences of the VNL. I hope watching sports competitions can make your life colorful and meaningful. Don’t worry, we can tackle the global virus and difficulties together. Please stay healthy, and we can do sports soon! 😊

I will update my blog very soon, please give comments or suggestions for this “long holiday”!
Do you have a favorite advertising? Can you remember its impressive ideas or pictures? What are its brand persona, tone and language choice? Let’s read this post and see what is social media voice!
Let me be “professional” here, to determine your target audience, you should first assume a persona for the brand. “Tone is a way to build your credibility, and place your brand’s market position. What’s more, building suitable brand language can give you a foundation for the choices or words, phrases and jargon to be used in social media communications.” (Schwab, 2011) For more detail, please click here to have an insight of brand voice.
So, do you understand social media voice now? If not, let’s read the following analysis of one of my unforgettable ad campaigns – Airbnb. Please click here and watch the video first. In addition, please click here to take a look of its recent Facebook post as well as comments too.
Why do I like this Airbnb’s ad? Since its brand persona is high on agreeableness, which is one of the five aspects – agreeableness, enterprise, competence, chic and ruthlessness. The video shows the idea that Airbnb is one community of hosts and travelers. People share homes, experiences and stories around the world, all in a place. This is certainly friendly, full of warmth and love.
To move on, the tone of the ad reflects Airbnb’s brand persona to engage audiences. It has different tone, relaxing – the video shows the leisure of travelling; chill – the pictures show travelers enjoys food and drinks together; playful – the video includes some cartoons; warm and friendly – travelers live and chat as a family; harmonious – Airbnb gathers lots of travelers from different countries in the world.
Last but not least, the language choice of the ad fits the purpose of communication. From the FB post, a customer of Airbnb complains that she has not been able to log in her account and there is no way she could contact Airbnb to find out the problem with it. In response, Airbnb replies with sorry at the very beginning and thank you at last. Furthermore, Airbnb provides direct and clear contact methods – Twitter and phone no. These give a good impression to customers.
